The individual will act as a Subject Matter Advisor and work closely with Software Product Development team and the counterparts at the client insurance company to define, specify, test, validate and implement key system functionality.The individual will support initiatives related to developing, pricing and filing fixed, indexed and variable annuity and life products.This work includes product design, pricing, actuarial memo preparation, contract / filing review and marketing material review.Primary responsibilities will include building and enhancing complex financial models that employ both deterministic and stochastic analysis.This position will support various software product development efforts, including requirement gathering and analysis, product design, technical analysis and financial modeling.Required Skills:Coordinating and supporting the execution of product rate setting and management, as well as large case pricing.Formulating and executing methodology improvements including setting investment and mortality assumptions.Working closely with annuity product management on rate setting and product development initiatives.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of Actuarial experience. Prefers ASA or FSAExperience with pricing, modeling and product development of annuities or life insuranceExperience with actuarial softwareStrong interpersonal and project/people management skillsStrong decision-making skills; ability to consider multiple perspectives in making business decisionsMust be innovative, with the ability to think outside the boxStrong technical and analytical abilitiesStrong communication skills, ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audience
