The employee would assist in reserving all lines of business, financial reporting, and special projects. Special projects include pattern reviews, line of business studies, retrocession submissions, and opportunities to improve processes. Frequent collaboration with underwriting, claims, legal, and finance departments would occur.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and maintain detail loss development triangles for all lines of businessDevelop and monitor multiple loss development factorsAnalyze loss characteristicsSolve complex problems and develop innovative approaches with minimal supervisionBuild and refurbish tools and models to streamline business processes and workflowsDirect and complete large projects, utilizing resources from multiple disciplinesOperate as an effective team member by supporting projects that support the broader actuarial teamSupport the centralized regulatory services group as needed for product initiatives and filingsPreparing financial statements and reports and management reportsSupport group strategy initiativesAssist in annual planning and budget processHelp develop AI capabilities to improve process efficiency and sophisticationMaintaining SOX control documentationQualifications3-5 years of Actuarial experienceAt least 3 Actuarial exams preferableExcellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in MS Office productsProgramming knowledge (VBA, SQL, or others) strongly preferableAbility to work efficiently independently and in a group settingAbility to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlinesThis role is to be located in the Morristown, NJ office location.$100,000 - $134,000/yearTotal individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
