Join our team at The Springs of Texarkana! We are currently seeking an Activities Director to coordinate and execute a thoughtfully planned activity program for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality program of activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with other departments as part of a multidisciplinary team and take on additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist residents in enhancing re-socialization skills and contribute to the improvement of physical well-being.
- Promote leisure education and develop personalized one-on-one programs for room-bound or bed-bound residents.
- Create an ongoing schedule of meaningful activities aligned with the unique needs and interests of each resident.
- Provide mental and sensory stimulation and develop individualized plans for residents.
- Participate in community-oriented and marketing projects and maintain daily effective interactions with residents and their families.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and compassionate approach; flexibility and genuine enjoyment of working with the senior population.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate patient needs.
- Proficiency in computer skills; team-oriented mindset; caring and punctual attitude; demonstrated innovation.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a requirement to work some Saturdays and Sundays.
