Activity Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Activity Assistant to join our dedicated team at Canal Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Akron, OH. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, providing engaging activities and programs that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Activity Assistant Responsibilities
- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents
- Assist with planning and coordinating special events, outings, and parties
- Encourage resident participation in activities and foster social connections among residents
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity attendance
- Collaborate with the activities department to identify and address the unique needs of each resident
- Assist with daily operations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents
Activity Assistant Requirements
- Prior experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
