About the Role:

As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of activities and programs designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Your creativity, energy, and enthusiasm will be essential in creating a warm and welcoming environment that encourages socialization, participation, and enjoyment for all residents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, entertainment, outdoor activities, and educational programs


• Collaborate with care staff, families, and volunteers to design and execute activity plans that promote resident engagement and satisfaction


• Conduct assessments to identify resident preferences and needs, and use this information to tailor activities to meet their unique requirements


• Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity attendance, and feedback to ensure continuity and improvement of programs


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new activities and programs

Requirements:

• (Minimum Years of Experience) years of experience in activities direction or a related field


• (Level of Education) degree in a relevant field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology)


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills


• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population, including residents, families, and staff


• Familiarity with activity programming and planning, with a focus on senior living or long-term care
