Overview

Our senior living is currently seeking an Activities Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families, and our community. Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and oversee the Activities program for residents.
  • Work in conjunction with the Activities staff to create a daily and monthly calendar appropriate for all care levels, including events that encourage resident individuality, participation and leadership.
  • Ensures that the activities program promotes a feeling of independence, a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment for residents.
  • Provide a well‑balanced daily and monthly calendar of programs and events of interest to the residents.
  • Routinely seek and incorporate resident feedback on activity likes/dislikes and suggestions for future programs.
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships to offer a wide variety of choices for residents and collaborate with other organizations/businesses for joint programming.
  • Provide opportunities for residents to engage in volunteer projects in the surrounding community.
  • Ensure that activity supplies are ordered and available for use.
  • Transport residents to various activities and events in the community.

  • Able to communicate intentions and directions to residents and staff and be an effective, empathetic listener.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED. Prefer a college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services and/or two (2) years of equivalent work experience in the field.
  • Prior experience in small group socialization and creative programming for older adults preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing staff and volunteers.
  • Current CPR/first aid certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major violations.

Pay Rate

$21 - $22 or DOE.
