Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.How you'll contribute:This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.Essential FunctionsProvides activity groupsDocuments the patient's response to groups pertinent to patient treatment on daily/weekly progress status, as appropriateProvides and documents appropriate alternate interventions when patients miss groupsProvides groups according to the protocol set forth by the Activity Therapist, communicate, and work with the patient to achieve the greatest benefit and resolutionMaintains constant communication with the Activity Therapist when patient is not responding to the treatmentsContributes to the effective functioning of the patient's programUnderstands the age differences and the corresponding developmental needsProvides activities suitable to the patient's needs and offers a variety of stimuli in accordance with the treatment plan, with approval of AT or AT leadContributes to maintain a quality program to satisfy the therapeutic needs of the patientOffers direction and education to maintain clear communication of expectationsProvides quality programming to support the objectives of the patient and their needsContributes to treatment planning with feedback to nursing and program staff to achieve therapeutic interventions with supervision from AT or AT LeadAdditional InformationPrevious experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.Qualifications and requirements:Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
