About the Role
This opportunity is suited to an experienced reconstructionist seeking a senior, technically focused role combining expert testimony, case leadership, mentoring, and forensic analysis. The successful individual will serve as a lead forensic expert on matters involving vehicle collisions, commercial trucking incidents, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, and other dynamic events, while working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically defensible opinions.
Responsibilities
- Lead accident reconstruction investigations involving passenger vehicles, trucking, pedestrian, bicycle, and other complex dynamic events
- Perform collision analysis including speed determination, impact severity, vehicle dynamics, and event sequencing
- Conduct site inspections, vehicle inspections, and evidence evaluations
- Analyse EDR data, video evidence, photographs, and physical evidence
- Prepare technically robust expert reports and opinions
- Provide deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial testimony
- Mentor junior reconstruction staff and contribute to technical quality and regional growth
Qualifications
- ACTAR certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated accident reconstruction experience
- Prior deposition and/or trial testimony experience
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
