Join a compassionate team providing mental health support grounded in personal experience. This role involves delivering direct supportive services to individuals experiencing mental health symptoms, helping clients develop proactive solutions to overcome recovery barriers.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Offer direct support to individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Assist clients in creating actionable plans to address obstacles in their recovery journey.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in required trainings and meetings.
  • Collaborate with care teams, community partners, caregivers, family members, physicians, and other providers to coordinate care.
  • Work with clients and care teams to develop crisis prevention plans and person-centered treatment goals.
  • Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain professional communication and relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and at least three years older than the youth served.
  • Self-identification as a current or former primary consumer of mental health services is essential.
  • Minimum of one year in stable recovery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience working with adults in a health-related field.
  • Certification as a Behavioral Health Specialist Peer Support Specialist is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • State training as required.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Ability to mentor and develop others.
  • Excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements
Light work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the day. Accommodations available as needed.
