The Role
The Store Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of an assigned retail partner store. The role requires maximizing store revenue and profits, meeting sales goals, and improving processes to increase sales. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and developing store staff, managing store activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Compensation
The Store Manager position is salaried and may be eligible for bonus or incentive programs in effect. Salary range: $41,040 – $49,761 plus potential monthly bonus based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Management and Leadership
- Manage and direct the work of all store coworkers on a daily basis.
- Motivate, evaluate, coach, and counsel coworkers, holding them accountable for following company policies.
- Identify and recommend coworkers for promotion to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager positions.
- Establish partnerships with store personnel to generate referrals and educate them on the rental and lease process.
- Train, supervise, and assess coworkers’ dedication to exceptional customer service.
- Use discretion and judgment in day‑to‑day management duties concerning personnel, sales, and customers.
- Enhance coworkers’ sales and account‑management skills through ongoing training and coaching.
- Address and resolve coworker and customer issues promptly to maintain satisfaction and friendly service.
- Cultivate a positive work environment to enhance retention and minimize turnover.
- Recruit, interview, and hire coworkers for the store.
Sales
- Establish and track daily and weekly sales objectives.
- Supervise and guide coworkers in sales activities.
- Facilitate the conversion of rental and lease agreements with customers and oversee sales outcomes to ensure revenue growth.
- Address challenging accounts that require managerial intervention.
- Authorize customer commitments.
- Communicate and promote the accessibility, flexibility, and convenience of Acima’s leasing services to potential customers.
- Educate customers on lease terms and delivery protocols, review overdue accounts, and encourage timely payments.
- Oversee sales and account operations.
- Guide customer interactions on leasing options, ensuring clarity on payment terms and top‑notch service.
Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven track record in retail sales management.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
- Familiarity with rental or leasing industry practices is a plus.
- Organized with time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Consistent in‑person attendance to lead and manage store operations.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‑time position with operating hours Monday through Sunday. Days and hours may vary, but will include evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands
The Store Manager is regularly required to talk and listen to coworkers and customers. The position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times.
