JOB SUMMARY

Maintain the organization’s financial integrity, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making capability through disciplined accounting practices, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is responsible for the full ownership and oversight of accounting operations under US GAAP, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.

Act as a key business partner to executive leadership, providing financial insight that drives performance, accountability, and long-term value creation. Lead all core accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, General Ledger, and Payroll, while maintaining strict adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and aerospace/defense regulatory requirements (ASC 606, ASC 842, ITAR, etc.).

This position requires a highly independent, self-directed professional with minimal need for training—someone who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, aggressively pursues process understanding, solves problems without dependency, and continuously elevates both themselves and the organization. The ideal candidate brings extreme ownership, a relentless work ethic, and a leadership style that drives results through accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.

LEADERSHIP:

PLANNING:

  • Lead and coordinate all financial planning support activities including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis in alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements including SOX, US GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), and aerospace/defense compliance standards.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control structures over financial reporting, inventory, revenue, and expenditures.
  • Drive working capital optimization initiatives across Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Accounts Payable.
  • Support make vs. buy decisions, capital investments, and operational strategies through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Develop and refine accounting processes that support scalability, accuracy, and efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the integrity and accuracy of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

  • Lead internal and external audit processes, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and always ensuring audit readiness.
  • Perform internal audits and proactively identify risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Driving continuous process improvement initiatives across accounting and finance functions—solutions should be internally driven, data-backed, and not reliant on external consultants.
  • Ensure ERP system integrity (Infor XA / Mapics) and alignment between financial data and operational activities.
  • Support executive decision-making through insightful analysis, scenario modeling, and clear communication of financial impacts.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while promoting ethical behavior and integrity across the organization.
