Accounts Receivable Specialist

Insight Global is currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a client in the construction industry. This individual will manage the full accounts receivable process for approximately 50-100 assigned construction projects, including preparing and submitting monthly general contractor billings and AIA pay applications. They will work closely with Project Managers to validate project progress, review stored materials documentation, ensure approved change orders are included in billings, and submit invoices through various billing platforms. The specialist will analyze project costs versus billings, identify underbilling or overbilling situations, reconcile billed versus collected amounts, and prepare AR aging reports for management review. Additionally, they will oversee lien compliance activities by preparing and tracking lien waivers, monitoring retainage balances, and identifying projects with potential lien exposure risks. This role plays a critical part in maintaining billing accuracy, supporting revenue integrity, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements across active construction projects.

Required Skills & Experience
• 2-4+ years of experience (prefer construction accounting background)
o Experience with Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections processes
• Knowledge of AIA pay applications and Schedule of Values (SOV) billing
• Experience working with GC billing platforms such as Textura, Procore, GCPay, TeamPlayer, or similar
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct (or similar), Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills
• High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience managing 50-100 construction projects simultaneously
• Advanced understanding of lien laws, retainage management, and lien waiver compliance
• Experience with revenue recognition analysis and cash flow optimization
