Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable SpecialistThe Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, including generating invoices, tracking incoming payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely collections.Responsibilities:Manage open aging of assigned accounts to ensure timely payment by assisting customers with payment processing via ACH, check or online portalFollow up with overdue invoices to reduce delinquency for assigned accounts and record promise-to-payInteract with customers to resolve outstanding collection issues and keep good customer relationshipsPartner with credit control to identify high-risk accounts and mitigate collection risksApply cash receipts and investigate unidentified paymentsReview and approve client refundsReview and approve account suspension due to delinquent invoicesCooperate with external collection agency on bad debt accountsPartner with corporate engineering teams to optimize accounting system and implement new processesWork collaboratively with sales operations, legal and sales to drive best practices in collection procedurePerform other projects as neededRequirements:High School Diploma or GED preferred2+ years of experience as a Collection Specialist or similar roleExcellent knowledge of billing proceduresKnowledge of various collection techniquesWorking knowledge of MS OfficeKnowledge of collection laws and regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsShift requirement: Monday – Friday; 9AM-5:30PMProblem-solving and critical-thinking skillsFerretti Search is an award-winning Recruitment Firm specializing in Executive Recruiting and Staffing.
