Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounts receivable operations of a rapidly growing company in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve department, company, and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain relationships with customers through phone and email (30%)
· Monitor current customer accounts for overdue balances, follow up with internal and external personnel via telephone, email and other measures for timely resolution of collection matters and billing disputes (15%)
· Troubleshoot and respond to internal and external inquiries through financial operations shared mailboxes (10%)
· Apply and deposit checks/wires received to the appropriate open receivable account (10%)
· Generate credit memos and customer refunds as needed (5%)
· Reconcile credit card batches and make deposits daily (5%)
· Work closely with collection agency to place accounts with them when necessary (5%)
· Perform reviews of aged accounts receivable to ensure balances display an accurate picture of customer receivables (5%)
· Research, dispute and process chargebacks in a timely manner (5%)
· Perform special projects and varied tasks as needed (5%)
Requirements:
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education and years of
experience
• 1-3 years Accounts Receivable or equivalent experience
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP system
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
