Patient Accounts Receivable Representative I Passaic County, NJ
We're looking for a detail-oriented and personable Patient A/R Representative to join our client's team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing patient accounts receivable, handling collection calls, and processing payments to help ensure smooth financial operations for our patients and practice.
What You'll Do:
- Make outbound collection calls to patients regarding outstanding balances (100-150 calls per day)
- Process patient payments accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to determine patient responsibility
- Clearly explain how patient balances are calculated, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
- Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive financial conversations
- Support the collections process from statement generation through resolution
- Meet established productivity and collection goals
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to read and understand an EOB
- Strong understanding of patient balances (copay, deductible, coinsurance)
- Excellent customer service and phone communication skills
- Working knowledge of billing statements and the collections process
- Ability to meet daily call volume and productivity targets
- eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience preferred but not required
