Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Pay: $15-18/hr

Role: Contract to Hire

Location: Clearwater, FL – Fully Onsite

What You’ll Do

• Review customer and franchisee accounts to identify and resolve billing discrepancies
• Research invoice issues, including promotion, discount, and billing errors
• Respond to email inquiries related to customer and franchise billing questions
• Investigate account issues and determine appropriate resolutions
• Process customer satisfaction adjustments and account credits
• Prepare refund requests for closed accounts and route them for appropriate approval
• Maintain accurate account records and ensure transactions are properly documented
• Follow established credit and collection policies and procedures
• Work with internal teams, corporate contacts, and franchise locations to resolve outstanding billing issues
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce recurring issues
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 6 months–1 year of professional experience preferred
• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, customer service, accounting, or administration
• Basic understanding of debits and credits
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to research information, identify the root cause of an issue, and determine logical next steps
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong data-entry skills and comfort working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
