Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistCamtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions relating to payments. The Accounts Payable Specialist must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments and deadlines in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Primary Responsibilities:Ensure vendor and supplier invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental proceduresCompare invoice details (prices, terms of payment, etc.) to approved purchase orders or other approval documentation prior to paymentPrepare ACHs, wires, checks, credit card payments, and manual payments for releaseRecord AP activities (vouchers, payments, etc.) in accounting systemEnsure AP related documentation is maintained in accordance with Company record keeping practicesExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reportingRespond to vendor and supplier correspondence and inquiries via emailAssist with month-end reporting duties and tasksAssist in compiling information and documentation for auditsWork with AR and other departments as needed to resolve issuesEducation:High school diploma.Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferredWork Experience:1-3 years relevant experienceDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulationsSpecialized Knowledge or Abilities:Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organization skills and attention-to-detailConfident working independently and using initiative to guide through challengesAbility to meet strict deadlinesAbility to produce, understand, and analyze financial reports and dataExperience with ERP systems, Component Controls – Quantum ERP preferredProficient in Microsoft ExcelPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
