Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Long-Term Contract)

Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a high-volume environment in Westchester County, NY. This role requires full-time onsite presence and will run through February 2027.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-volume, weekly 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts

Process vendor payments accurately and efficiently

Handle reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies or disputes

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Maintain strong vendor relationships and address inquiries in a timely manner
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment

Experience with 3-way match, payment processing, and reconciliations

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and vendor management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Accounts receivable experience is a plus

Proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheet creation, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables

Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
