Accounts Payable Specialist-MexicoSNP Mexico - Mexico, MO 65265Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage Negligible Category AccountingPosition Specifics:Department: Accounting / FinanceReports to: ControllerPurpose:Process accounts payable activities which include processing parts, complete goods, and all other invoices and maintaining vendor records.Responsibilities:Enters all vendor invoices into the dealer business systemVerifies invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, ensures payment terms are followed, and calculates discounts as appropriateObtains approval and distributes invoices as needed prior to processing paymentsPrepares and processes checks or online payments in a timely mannerReconciles vendor statementsAccurately maintains vendor records and various records for tax purposes (1099's or tax exempt forms)May scan all invoices and destroy or file the paper copy as appropriateAssists other co-workers with related tasks as necessaryQualifications:Experience with using business system applications preferredKnowledge of agriculture equipment industry preferredUnderstands accounting fundamentalsAbility to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel and internet functionsAbility to use the dealers business system and other programs specific to the positionHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience requiredAssociates Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
