Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: East Petersburg areaSalary: $19-22/hrJob DutiesWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices, including coding, data entry, and obtaining necessary approvalsReconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesPrepare and process weekly check runsMaintain accurate and organized accounts payable recordsAssist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsCollaborate with internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment issuesAssist with annual audits by providing supporting documentation and answering inquiriesSkills:Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practicesProficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) softwareExperience with general ledger reconciliationFamiliarity with benefits administration processesAbility to accurately prepare and post journal entriesKnowledge of tax regulations related to accounts payableProficiency in using Sage accounting softwareUnderstanding of accounts receivable processesExperience in payroll management, preferably using PaychexIf you have a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of accounting principles, we would love to hear from you.
