Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistThis position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of company invoices and administering/reimbursement of travel expenses. This includes invoices processed manually, through EDI, direct debit and 3rd party systems. This role is also responsible for executing A/P check runs, vendor setup, 1099 processing and ensuring the integrity of financial data while establishing and maintaining positive vendor and employee relations.Auditing and entering all company invoices received via mail, email and Factura.ai into Sage IntacctPreparing new vendor set upResearching and resolving past due invoicesEnsuring compliance with corporate reimbursement policiesAuditing incoming expense reports using the Company's corporate credit card portal, integrating invoice files into Sage Intacct, and posting the monthly paymentVerifying invoice coding, ensuring all invoices are properly approved, posting invoices, printing checks.New vendor setup; vendor maintenance; 1099 setup and 1099 reportingAssist with administrative functions and special projectsHigh School diplomaSome college accounting coursework preferred3-5 years A/P experienceStrong understanding of accounting principlesUnderstanding of IRS travel and expense regulationsExperience using Sage Intacct a plusIntermediate to advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookDetail, results and deadline oriented with professional demeanorIndependent self-starter with a can-do attitudeAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to interact and communicate to all levels of the companyFlexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesWillingness to learn and take on new assignmentsStrong communication and organizational skillsOffice environment.
