We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 3-6 month contract assignment. This onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong accounts payable experience and proficiency in Great Plains . The successful candidate will support daily AP operations, maintain accurate vendor records, process invoices and payments, and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 3-6 month contract assignment. This onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong accounts payable experience and proficiency in Great Plains . The successful candidate will support daily AP operations, maintain accurate vendor records, process invoices and payments, and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Scan and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
- Review purchase price variances and investigate billing discrepancies.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including address changes and account information.
- Respond professionally to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with payment processing and vendor account reconciliations.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Required: Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP) .
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Experience using standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and 10-key calculators.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- $22.00-$25.00 per hour , based on experience.
- 3-6 month contract assignment with immediate interview availability.
