Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Elkridge, MD (Onsite) $24-26 per hour + benefits Employment Type: Hourly, non-exemptPosition Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing routine and full-cycle accounts payable activities using a working knowledge of accounting principles and company practices. This role works under the supervision of the Staff Accountant to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant financial records. This is a full-time position.Primary ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle accounts payableReview and verify invoices for accuracy, approvals, and documentationPrepare and execute weekly vendor paymentsPost transactions and resolve invoice, purchase order, and payment discrepanciesManage company credit card program, including expense coding and paymentsMaintain vendor relationshipsMaintain organized electronic records per record retention policiesCalculate, report, and remit sales tax on paid invoicesProcess approximately 300 to 400 invoices per monthPrepare and process annual 1099 formsPerform monthly expense analysisAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounting procedures, documentation, and formsGenerate miscellaneous invoices and credit memosCollaborate with internal teams as neededSkills and Qualifications1+ years of accounts payable experienceBasic understanding of accounting principlesStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyProficient data entry skillsExperience with ERP systems requiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordNice to HaveExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or services environmentsBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, matching 401K (up to 5%), PTOFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
