Accounts Payable Manager

Overview of the Accounts Payable Manager Role:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, providing training, coaching, and career growth opportunities
  • Establish and monitor team goals, ensuring deadlines and service levels are consistently met
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and vendor management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
  • Review and streamline processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and negotiating terms when necessary
  • Partner with procurement and other departments to ensure seamless operations and strong internal communication
  • Implement best practices to improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of AP operations
  • Leverage ERP systems and automation tools to enhance workflow and reporting.
  • Provide leadership with timely reporting on AP metrics, cash flow, and expense trends
  • Play a key role in supporting system upgrades and process transformation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes, internal controls, and ERP systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams, implement process improvements, and manage vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
