Accounts Payable CoordinatorWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join a construction company. This position will be responsible for processing invoices, coordinating payments, maintaining vendor and subcontractor records, and supporting the accounting team with month-end closing and other administrative duties.The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Construction industry and Accounts Payable experience are required.ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor and subcontractor invoices and route them for approval and paymentIdentify invoices that need to be paid and prepare, mail, and file payment paperworkReceive calls regarding Purchase Orders and enter Purchase Orders into TimberlinePrioritize invoices based on cash discount opportunities and payment termsEnter and maintain subcontractor informationDistribute and collect subcontractor packets and certificates of insuranceMatch invoices to subcontractors, purchase orders, and other documentationResearch and resolve vendor and invoice discrepanciesReconcile vendor and credit card statementsAssist with month-end closingCross-train and provide backup support for payroll and 1099 maintenanceSort and distribute incoming mailProvide phone backup support as neededHandle end-of-day errands, bank deposits, and post office runsPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedQualifications / Requirements3-5+ years of Accounts Payable experience requiredConstruction industry experience requiredExperience with Sage 300 (Timberline Construction Software) REQUIREDBookkeeping and accounting experience requiredAccounting software experience requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent telephone and customer service skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsDetail-oriented with excellent follow-throughStrong problem-solving, research, and resolution skillsBasic accounting knowledge and strong documentation skillsAbility to analyze data and identify discrepanciesAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, reliable, proactive, and team-orientedAbility to multitask while maintaining composure and accuracyMust be comfortable communicating with customers, subcontractors, vendors, office personnel, and carpentersRequires successful completion of a background screening after a conditional offer of employment, in accordance with Washington State law.Benefits Available to Eligible Express Associates: Medical Plan, Dental Plan, Holiday Pay (6 Days Observed), 401 (k) Retirement Savings Plan, Vision/Eyewear Plan, Life Insurance, Prescription Drug Reimbursement, Short-Term Disability, Referral Bonuses
