Accounts Payable and Receivable Operations AnalystLaSalle Network is hiring for an Accounting Operations Analyst with a rapidly growing consumer products company. This newly created, high-visibility role is built for an accounting professional who likes to go beyond the numbers — digging into large data sets, finding root causes and turning accounting data into smarter processes. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Operations Analyst will partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Purchasing and Logistics teams to improve accounting operations and reporting.What's the job?Analyze AR and AP data to identify trends, exceptions, discrepancies and process improvement opportunitiesMonitor AR aging, deductions, violations, returns, holdbacks, unapplied cash and open itemsReview AP aging, vendor balances, invoice activity, coding and payment trendsInvestigate WIP, GRIR, in-transit inventory, purchasing variances and valuation discrepanciesAudit transactions for coding accuracy, recurring errors and control gapsResearch root causes and collaborate with teams to implement solutionsBuild recurring reports, dashboards, KPIs and management summariesRecommend process improvements, controls and automation opportunitiesSupport month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries and auditsWhat's needed?Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field3+ years of accounting, financial analysis, accounting operations or inventory accounting experienceStrong AR and AP knowledge and an understanding of inventory accountingAdvanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and large-data analysisStrong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesERP experience, ideally SAP Business ByDesign or a similar platform, preferredConsumer products, manufacturing, distribution or high-volume accounting experience preferredWhat's in it for me?$90,000-$100,000 annuallyMedical, dental and vision insuranceFully remote workDirect visibility to accounting leadershipOpportunity to influence processes, reporting and operational efficiencyIf you're an Accounting Operations Analyst who enjoys asking "why," uncovering problems and building better ways to work, this confidential opportunity could be a great next step.
