Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with the private family office of a New York based CEO to appoint a Full Charge Bookkeeper. You choose the accounting platform and set the processes
Work on the family's art and collectibles, including building the collection register from the ground up
Remote, with one day in the office
A long term seat in a private environment rather than a revolving client book
Full cycle bookkeeping and reconciliation across personal and family accounts and entities Manage expenses across multiple residences, including New York apartments, properties in other states and a home in Mexico, covering taxes, utilities, insurance, vendors, renovations and running costs Reconcile American Express and other card spend, including frequent travel changes, cancellations and incidentals Process a high volume of invoices and outgoing wires, making sure the right entity and account is used, and prepare payments for final approval Coordinate with tax advisers and other external professionals, keeping records complete and organized Support family members with medical insurance claims, vested funds and other financial administration Assess and implement a suitable accounting and financial management platform Build and maintain a structured register of the art and collectibles: purchase price, acquisition date, current location and which residence or premises each piece sits in, maintaining records on sales and preparing sale invoices Proven full charge bookkeeping experience, ideally within a family office, private client or high net worth environment Comfort with multi entity structures and personal and business accounts sitting side by side Strong reconciliation discipline and high volume AP and wire experience Experience supporting an individual who buys and sells art or collectible assets, or equivalent exposure to collection or asset record keeping Confidence selecting and implementing accounting software, and building process where none exists Experience working with external tax advisers, attorneys, insurers and other professionals This is a private household and the confidentiality bar is high global or for a confidential conversation.
