What You'll Do
- Oversee daily accounting operations across AP, banking/treasury, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and related functions.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with GAAP and internal policy.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Review team members' work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff; assign work and monitor performance.
- Contribute to performance reviews, development plans, and team engagement.
- Support internal controls and assist with internal/external audits.
- Identify process gaps or control concerns and recommend improvements.
- Analyze financial data to spot discrepancies, trends, and opportunities.
- Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues and streamline workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
- CPA preferred, not required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 1-2+ years leading, training, or supervising accounting staff.
- Solid background in AP, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience in a multi-site, healthcare, or investor-backed environment is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting software systems.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear communicator, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- Base salary: $100,000-$125,000, based on experience and qualifications.
