Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Location: Independence, OH 44131

Duration: 2+ Months

Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (Wednesdays mandatory)

Pay Rate: $45/hr on W2 (No Benefits)

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee financial accounting processes, month-end close activities, general ledger accuracy, and financial reporting. This role focuses on accounting process supervision, quality control, and workflow efficiency rather than managing direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and financial close processes.
• Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Review and manage sales, Cost of Sales (COS), and Operating Expenses (OPEX) accruals.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
• Conduct financial and variance analysis to identify fluctuations and discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits, technical accounting research, and reporting requests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting entries and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
• Ideally 3–5 years of public accounting experience and 3–5 years of corporate/industry accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of debits and credits, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, GL reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
• Experience beyond transactional accounting (AP, AR, collections, and payroll processing).

Preferred:

• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
