With a sound financial structure and a strong balance sheet that fuels continuous investments in its assets, Twin Rivers Paper offers its customers the security of local product availability through a strong, domestically owned manufacturer and the assurance of long-term viability.Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for the fiduciary responsibilities of finance, monthly closing and reporting for the Company.Responsibilities:Ensuring accounting requirements are completely accurate and on timeDocuments and substantiates financial transactions by entering account informationAnalyzes operational and financial data, investigates variances, identifies business drivers, and evaluates their impact on planned objectivesPrepares meaningful variance analysis commentary for managementConsolidates cost reduction and other continuous improvement activitiesProvides assistance in reporting against performance targets in incentive programsAssists with the recommendation, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of the operating agendaRequirements:BA in Accounting or FinanceStrong skill in the areas of analysis, problem-solving, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, communication, and relationship buildingAbility to think strategically in a constantly changing business environment and marketAbility to operate with high regard to integrity, trust, and confidentialityMicrosoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.Working Conditions:The Accounting Specialist spends 100% of the time in an office environment entering and analyzing data, preparing and reviewing reports, working with internal departments and external systems support, and attending meetings.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
