This position, under general supervision, is responsible for performing a variety of general accounting tasks in an Accounts Payable department.Responsibilities include:Working within the Company's computerized accounting system and working with vendor and internal contacts, resolving discrepancies between vendor invoices and Company purchase orders.Managing workload to maintain a high rate of timely vendor payments.Resolving open items in a timely manner.Participating in the execution of the weekly payment process.Performing moderately complex general accounting support tasks in an accounts payable environment.Participating in the research and analysis of open balances and, at direction of senior members of the AP team, entering correcting entries.Summarizing accounting data from detailed accounting records.Categorizing and calculating additional accounting information for reporting and audit purposes.Compiling data and preparing a variety of routine and non-routine reports.Responding to written and verbal inquiries from internal and external contacts.Performing other duties as assigned or required.
