Accounting Specialist

Now Hiring: Accounting Specialist | Hendersonville, NC (onsite role)

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 | Direct Hire

Do you enjoy keeping financial details organized, solving invoice discrepancies, and making sure the numbers add up? Our client in Hendersonville is looking for an Accounting Specialist to support its accounting operations onsite Monday-Friday, with a primary focus on accounts payable.

This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays on top of deadlines, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable

• Process, code, and enter invoices accurately and on time
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Process payments, including checks and ACH transactions
• Manage payment schedules to ensure bills are paid on time
• Review expense reports and company credit card statements
• Maintain accurate, organized accounts payable records

Accounting & Office Support

• Communicate with vendors about invoices, payments, and account questions
• Maintain financial information and supporting documentation
• Assist with general accounting tasks, projects, and daily operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous accounting or accounts payable experience, or an accounting background
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfort working with invoices, financial records, and numbers
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A dependable, team-oriented approach and willingness to take initiative
