Supporting federal financial management operations, the full-time Senior Federal Accounting Consultant will conduct research and analysis, prepare financial statements, and provide technical accounting guidance, with the flexibility to work remotely. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and general ledger accounting, including the preparation of federal financial statements Verify the accuracy and validity of various accounting transactions and maintain subsidiary ledgers through reconciliations Develop and present briefing materials and recommendations to improve financial management practices and address audit findings Required qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of a degree Four (4) years of experience in accounting or financial management Expertise in conducting studies and analyzing findings related to management improvement and operational efficiency Experience developing guidance on management techniques and analyzing proposed reorganizations or realignments of functions
