We’re seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for a large, nationally recognized nonprofit organization. This is a hands-on role requiring deep nonprofit accounting expertise, particularly in revenue recognition, grants, Uniform Guidance, audits, and financial reporting.
Hybrid: 2 days/week in Washington, DC
Pay: $60–$70/hour, flexible up to $75/hour
Conversion: $120K–$140K+, depending on experience
Key Requirements:
- CPA required
- 10+ years of nonprofit accounting/compliance experience
- Strong nonprofit revenue recognition experience
- Federal and non-federal grant accounting
- Uniform Guidance and Single Audit experience
- Month/year-end close and financial statement preparation
- Budgeting, forecasting, variance xhqgsiq analysis, and internal controls
- Experience with Form 990 and audit coordination
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Collaborative communication style and ability to partner across departments
- Dynamics GP, Management Reporter, and Concur are a plus
