We are partnering with a growing organization in the Chicagoland area looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys broad accounting responsibilities, process improvement, and taking ownership of their work.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong month-end close and general ledger experience
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger activity
- Prepare monthly financial xhqgsiq statements and management reporting
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Support AP/AR and other accounting functions as needed
- Assist with audit and tax preparation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
