Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the Accounts Payable team
- Help prioritize work and redistribute responsibilities based on workload and backlogs
- Monitor AP workflow to ensure processes are completed accurately and on time
- Serve as the internal escalation point for payment, vendor, and service-related issues
- Provide hands-on Accounts Payable support when additional coverage is needed
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Establish structure, accountability, and clear expectations across the AP function
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
• Strong experience managing accounting and accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management
• Previous experience leading or mentoring accounting staff and supporting the month-end close process
