Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a growing multi-location organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and oversee the monthly close process. This on-site position offers the opportunity to partner closely with leadership, drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support the continued growth of the business. The client offers salary and benefits, and flexibility when a conflict should arise. They also offer a great working environment, business casual and jeans on Friday.Duties:
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

- Accounting Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across multiple entities
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries
- As an Accounting Manager, you will maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth efforts, and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience leading the month-end close process
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience within a private company or industry environment is a plus
- Strong systems knowledge with experience supporting or improving financial systems preferred
