Corporate Accounting SupervisorThis role is a key member of the Corporate Accounting Team and is responsible for supervising the corporate Accounts Payables and Staff Accounting teams. Supports the Assistant Controller with the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting cycles in preparing financial statements and financial reporting package. Must have strong managerial accounting experience.
This role also supports the annual audits and annual budget preparation.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following, But Are Not Limited To:Manages balance sheet related schedules and prepares quarterly roll forwardsManages the posting of bank transactions and bank reconciliationsManages all shared services accounting activities and projects for her team.Research into accounting guidance to ensure transactions follow GAAP.Prepares trial balances of multiple facilities, which include intercompany transactions.Prepares documentation for and participates in the annual audit of financial statements.Mentors the staff accountants to develop industry knowledge and ensure company-wide compliance with legal regulations and standard accounting practicesEstablishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation Coordinates the preparation and filing of property tax reportsManages and reviews journal entries processed by her team.Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or a senior member of the management team necessary for the operations of the department and the business.CompetenciesExcellent communication skillsAnalytical skills and problem-solving skillsConflict management and resolution skillsStrong organizational and managerial experienceAdaptability and flexibilityInventory controls, operations and distribution backgroundERP knowledgeTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
