Accounting ManagerSakuu Corporation is a San Jose–based advanced manufacturing and battery technology company developing next-generation energy storage solutions using proprietary additive manufacturing processes. Sakuu is focused on scaling innovative battery production to support applications across electric vehicles, aerospace, and energy storage.Sakuu is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and help scale the company's financial infrastructure as manufacturing and transaction complexity increase. This role combines hands-on technical accounting with team leadership, process ownership, and cross-functional partnership.
The position is fully on-site and reports to the Director of Finance.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesReview journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statementsEnsure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policiesOversee inventory and cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysisPartner with operations to ensure accuracy of production data, BOMs, and inventory movementsManage, mentor, and develop accounting staff; establish close timelines and review standardsExperience with building and capital leases ASC 842Lead audit and tax support, including PBC coordinationDesign, implement, and improve accounting processes, controls, and system workflowsSupport cash flow management, working capital analysis, and financial planning initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance6–9 years of progressive accounting experience, including people or process leadershipStrong knowledge of US GAAPManufacturing and inventory accounting experienceAdvanced ExcelAbility to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, on-site environmentPreferred QualificationsStartup or high-growth company experienceCPA or CPA-eligibleERP ownership experienceExperience supporting audits, fundraising, or scaling finance functionsASC 606 and 842 experienceCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 annuallyEquity participationComprehensive health benefits401(k) planFinal compensation will be based on experience, skills, and internal equityWhat We OfferLeadership role with meaningful ownership and visibilityOpportunity to build and scale accounting operations in a manufacturing environmentCollaborative, mission-driven team focused on long-term growth
