Job Overview

Our client is a global technology company seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Revenue Recognition team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex technical accounting initiatives, improve processes, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.

Working closely with teams across Accounting, Finance, IT, Product, Sales, and Marketing, this person will evaluate new products and business initiatives, assess accounting implications, and translate technical guidance into scalable processes. Responsibilities

• * Analyze revenue recognition implications for new products, services, and business initiatives under ASC 606.
• * Develop and maintain technical accounting policies, documentation, and supporting analyses.
• * Research complex accounting issues and communicate clear, well-supported recommendations.
• * Evaluate revenue accounting processes, systems, and controls, including deferred revenue and financial reporting.
• * Collaborate with cross-functional partners to assess the accounting impact of business, product, and system changes.
• * Oversee the accuracy, documentation, and review of revenue-related accounts and accounting activities.
• * Identify opportunities to improve revenue processes, reporting, systems, and internal controls.
• * Monitor changes in accounting guidance and incorporate relevant updates into policies and procedures.
• * Provide accounting guidance and training to business partners and functional teams.
• * Drive alignment across stakeholders to resolve technical accounting issues and support timely decision-making.
• * Mentor and provide review support to junior accounting team members.

Qualifications

• * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• * 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong technical accounting and revenue recognition experience.
• * Active CPA required.
• * Strong knowledge of ASC 606, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• * Solid general ledger foundation and understanding of end-to-end accounting processes.
• * Experience researching complex accounting topics and documenting conclusions.
• * Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• * Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, IT, Product, Sales, and Marketing.
• * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-accounting partners.
• * Prior management, mentoring, or team leadership experience preferred, including experience leading without direct reports.
• * Public accounting or internal audit experience is a plus. xzgxqkn
• * Familiarity with Oracle R12, BlackLine, Siebel/BRM, Business Objects, or comparable financial systems is preferred.
