Ambition, dedication, attention to detail, and a warm smile are all winning characteristics that lead to the spirit of who we are.Position Summary:This position is responsible for accuracy and timely completion of the payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other assigned functions.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Promotes superior guest service.Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Talicn and Core Values of ilani.This position supervises the accounting clerk, payroll supervisor, accounts payable coordinators, and accounts receivable specialist.Supervises, trains, coaches, and evaluates all direct reports.Responsible for directing the preparation, input, and review of daily general ledger journal entries.Preparation and review of assigned balance sheet reconciliations directly or through staff accountants.Ensures the payroll cycle is processed within deadlines and controls are in place to ensure accuracy of team member payrolls.Works with Purchasing to maintain proper controls and segregation of duties while ensuring timely recording and payment of invoices.Ensures that receivables are properly recorded and payment is applied in the applicable financial reporting systems.Assists in special projects and analysis as needed.Cooperates with and provides documentation as requested for Internal Audit, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.Establishes department policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information.Provides strong leadership to the property by executing programs for team members which foster positive attitudes toward company goals.Evaluates all areas of responsibility for continuous improvement opportunities and develops plans to implement process improvements.Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all assigned areas.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration plus three (3) years of accounting management experience in a high volume, complex environment or an equivalent education and experience.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.Preferred Qualifications:Workday experience.Work Shift: Day (United States of America) RegularStarting at: $103,314.00
