The Opportunity
Synergy Search is conducting a confidential search for an Accounting Manager on behalf of a private equity backed product company with a portfolio of established brands. You will own the close and consolidation, lead a small team, and help modernize how accounting gets done with AI and better systems.

What You Will Own
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year end close, including consolidation
• Handle the most complex, judgment heavy accounting areas
• Review reconciliations, team deliverables, and analytics on results
• Prepare financial reporting and debt covenant compliance
• Research and document technical matters such as revenue recognition, inventory, and leases
• Coordinate with external audit and tax providers
• Use AI and finance systems to improve efficiency and controls
• Coach and develop a team of senior accountants
What You Need
• Bachelor's in Accounting
• CPA strongly preferred, or committed to earning it
• 5 to 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Audit foundation at xhqgsiq a Big Four or national firm, followed by a move into industry
• Product industry experience: manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or retail
• Direct ownership of the close, including consolidation with international entities
• Experience leading and developing accountants
• Strong US GAAP fundamentals: revenue recognition, inventory, leases, and debt reporting
• Real, hands on use of AI tools to automate work and drive process improvement
