Accounting Manager
Location: Summit, IL | Hybrid 3x in office
Compensation: $110,000–$120,000 base salary + 10% bonus
About the Opportunity:
Connect Search is partnering with a growing food manufacturer to hire an Accounting Manager for a newly created position. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will lead a five-person accounting team, own the month-end close, and improve processes as the business expands.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys developing people, strengthening controls, and modernizing workflows. An early priority will be selecting and implementing an accounts payable automation platform.
The position offers two remote days per week of your choosing after onboarding , exposure to public company reporting, and opportunities for advancement as the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and develop a five-person accounting team, including an experienced Senior Accountant.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, leases, and intercompany activity.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including billing, collections, payment cycles, and vendor relationships. xhqgsiq
- Support inventory and cost accounting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
