We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a growing finance and accounting team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the general ledger, managing the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading process improvements, mentoring team members, and partnering across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, allocations, and other complex accounting transactions.
• Analyze general ledger activity, investigate variances, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, account roll-forwards, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported and reconciled.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and accounting policies while researching and documenting technical accounting matters as needed.
• Partner with FP&A, operations, and other business leaders to provide accounting guidance and support strategic initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve operational effectiveness.
• Lead process improvement, automation, and systems enhancement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance oversight.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant responsibility for month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting best practices.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.
• Prior experience leading projects, mentoring team members, or supervising accounting staff.
• Experience supporting annual audits and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUPs, Power Query, and analysis of large data sets.
• Experience leveraging automation and AI tools to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
