Accounting Manager

We’re partnering with an established manufacturing organization seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join its finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning the close and financial reporting process while also improving how the accounting function operates.

The Corporate Accounting Manager will have broad visibility across the organization and partner closely with senior finance leadership. The role combines technical accounting, operational accounting, team leadership, and process improvement in a complex manufacturing environment. This role will require you to work in the office, 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

• Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
• Review financial results and investigate significant variances
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and other manufacturing-related accounting activities
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes
• Partner with FP&A, operations, supply chain, and other business functions
• Develop and mentor members of the accounting team
• Support special projects, system enhancements, and broader finance initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong progressive corporate accounting experience
• Prior experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or another inventory-driven environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across functions
• CPA and/or public accounting experience is a plus
