Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an Accounting Manager to lead general accounting activities, oversee the month-end close process, maintain financial controls, and support business growth initiatives. This is a 100% in office position based in Modesto, Ca.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting.
• Oversee the Accounts Receivable team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure efficient cash collections, customer account management, and strong internal controls.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Manage fixed assets, capital project accounting, and depreciation schedules.
• Oversee sales and use tax filings, compliance reporting, and audit support.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. xzgxqkn
• Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
