Accounting Manager

Mid America Precast is an employee-owned manufacturer of precast concrete products serving Missouri and surrounding states. Our products are used in the construction of schools, parking structures, hospitals, stadiums, and other large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our employee-owned team. This position will oversee key accounting, financial reporting, human resources, and employee benefit functions while supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources departments.
• Maintain and manage the company’s general ledger.
• Prepare accurate monthly and year-end financial statements for review by the company’s outside accounting firm.
• Administer the company’s 401(k) plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
• Manage company insurance accounts and related administrative responsibilities.
• Support the company’s financial and administrative operations as needed.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial and employee records.
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, outside accounting professionals, and benefit providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a major or significant coursework in accounting preferred.
• Previous accounting or financial management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with accounting and office software.
