POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager is responsible for core accounting functions, including cash management, month-end closing, financial reporting, intercompany transactions, construction accounting, tax matters, SOX compliance, and internal controls.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee and support daily and monthly accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger transactions, and financial reporting.

• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance responsibilities.

• Complete balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations, ensuring subledgers reconcile to the general ledger.

• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

• Monitor job costing, AIA billings, payroll tax reporting, sales and use tax returns, retention calculations, and related matters.

• Oversee monthly cash flow, billing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding billings and receivables.

• Support financial, insurance, and union-related audits.

• Interface with parent and affiliated company financial management personnel and interact with customers, auditors, suppliers, vendors, employees, and staff as required.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, including property, sales, payroll, gross receipts, franchise, and income taxes.

• Support leadership in analyzing, monitoring, and continually improving internal controls.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting or finance.

• 5+ years of direct supervisory experience.

• Construction accounting experience, including percentage-of-completion accounting, AIA billing, union wage calculations, analysis and reporting, and financial statement preparation.

• Experience with construction accounting software, particularly Viewpoint Vista, is desirable.

• Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) environment is highly desirable.

COMPENSATION

$100,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus annual incentive bonus eligibility.
