Accounting ManagerLeap Brands is recruiting for an Accounting Manager for a growing restaurant company looking for someone who understands accounting, financial discipline, and how to support operations in a fast moving environment.This is an individual contributor role for someone who likes ownership, accountability, and being hands-on with the financial side of the business. We are not looking for someone who only wants to manage people and delegate work. This role will be heavily involved in the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company.The ideal candidate understands the complexity of restaurant operations including labor, food cost, inventory, multi-unit reporting, cash flow management, and operational financial performance.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functionsOversee month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparationEnsure accuracy of P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow reporting, and operational reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesAnalyze restaurant-level financial performance including labor, food cost, sales trends, and operating expensesPartner with operations leadership to identify financial opportunities and operational inefficienciesMaintain internal controls and accounting processes to support growth and accuracyAssist with audit preparation, tax support, and external accounting relationshipsMonitor AP, AR, cash management, and banking activityHelp improve financial systems, reporting visibility, and accounting workflowsSupport leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requestsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred4+ years of accounting or finance experience within restaurants, hospitality, retail, franchise, or multi-unit environmentsStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingExperience managing month-end close and financial statement preparationStrong Excel and financial systems skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally with operations and leadershipCPA or public accounting experience is a plus but not required
