Accounting Manager Consultant

Ascendo is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to support one of our clients.
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys stepping into a hands-on role, managing accounting operations, and supporting a team through key financial processes.
What you'll be doing:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support AP, AR, and general ledger functions
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Partner with internal teams and leadership on accounting-related matters
• Identify and improve accounting processes and controls
• Provide support on special projects as needed

What we're looking for:

• Accounting management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
